VIGO EX Adam Sztaba Signature

Distributed resonance enclosure

Meticulously designed for full-range drivers to maintain the maximum of the efficiency without adding colors to the sound. Made of premium quality Baltic birch ply with no damping materials at all. The complicated internal construction containing carefully designed channels ensures the enclosure stiffness. The standing waves are virtually eliminated that results in a very clean and fast bass response. No need for using any damping materials behind the drivers preserves the liveliness of the drivers especially in the midrange. Side panels are made of acrylic stone for additional enclosure damping of parasite resonances.

Wide band driver - field coil version

Vigo uses one of the best full-range drivers in the world, the EMS LB12 EX - field coil  (31 cm diameter) designed by French legend Mr. Michel Fertin, who devoted his life to perfecting the sound of the single driver wide band technology. These are handmade in France by Katy Fertin EMS Speaker.

The field coil version presents even more detailed sound than classic one with permanent magnet.

These loudspeakers require a pair of power supplies (Closer Acoustics PSU EX sold separately) for the electromagnet of the LB12 EX transducer to work.

Tweeter

Because the LB12 full-range drivers have the upper frequency scaled to almost 16kHz a tweeter designed by EMS for this purpose can complement Vigo. It extends the frequency range close to 20kHz allowing for more “air” to be present in the listening experience.
