Some elements of our system may already be familiar. The OGY wide-band speaker has earned its reputation for precision, speed, and holographic soundstaging. Meanwhile, BOBs (Bass Open Baffle) bass modules set a new standard for open baffle bass performance, delivering deep, natural lows without overwhelming resonance. These components laid the groundwork for what would become the Closer Acoustics Blocks system.

To ensure seamless integration, we have taken extra measures in the design of the BOB MKII. Instead of a shared terminal with an internal inductance coil, each BOB now has its own upgraded coil built into the back of the driver. High-quality 9.5 AWG pure copper Cardas wiring ensures exceptional signal transfer. Additionally, acoustically transparent cloth has been added to the back of the blocks for dust protection.
Wide-Band Driver Choices: OKHO vs. OGY
For those already familiar with the OGY speaker, the Blocks system accommodates both OKHO and OGY as central elements. While OGY excels in speed, detail, and three-dimensional imaging, OKHO brings a more relaxed, full-bodied presentation with richer midrange tones. Both deliver extraordinary performance, but each caters to different sonic preferences.
The Final Touch: Precision Engineering
To maintain the highest fidelity, the system utilizes Pathaudio resistors (+/-1% tolerance) for driver attenuation. Connections are made using Cardas 9.5 AWG pure copper jumpers and rhodium-plated spades. Additionally, all blocks are designed to be securely stacked using brass pins, ensuring stability while allowing for easy reconfiguration.
